Introduction

Aiden Wilson Tozer, pastor and teacher who wrote The attributes of God and Knowledge of the Holy was speaking to his congregation this quote:
“The Church rise and fall all depends of her view if God.”
If the church has a low view of God they become flippant, funny, live worldly lives and glorify the flesh.
If the Church has a high view of God, they’ll simplify her church services immediately.
If the Church has a low view of God, they will use theatrics to keep the people coming.
Tozer tells us: -For this reason the gravest question before the Church is always God Himself, and the most portentous fact about any man is not what he at a given time may say or do, but what he in his deep heart conceives God to be like. We tend by a secret law of the soul to move toward our mental image of God.
Then Tozer quotes from the Westminster Larger and Smaller Catechisms.
Question 1
What is the chief end of man?
Answer
Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him for ever.
This is what is most important. We were made to Give God the Glory...
Webster's 1913 Unabridged English Dictionary defines Glory as: Praise, honor, admiration, or distinction, high reputation; honorable fame; renown.
What, or Who are we giving the most praise, honor and glory to other than God. Who or what have we indoctrinated as a standard of excellence in our life? Whatever that is, its not only sinful and Idolatrous, and can send you straight to hell. What do you worship more than Jesus? You cannot worship money, things! Whatever you worship, you will become like them. Jesus is Our standard of Excellence!
We must worship Him as we are about to shift into a new season......as noted in our psalm today, is attributed to David from the choir director on the Gittith. Gittith means winepress. The only time you need a winepress is in a season of Harvest and Abundance. This Psalm was probably written reflecting or looking toward a time of Plenty and Peace.During the Feast of Tabernacles celebrated in the Fall, God took care of his people in the wilderness by spreading a table before me in the presence of my enemies…..
Before you can prepare for the harvest, you must plant, and cultivate a season of worship. In , the Psalmist busts out in his benediction of praise....
O LORD (Yahweh) our Lord ( Adonai) One is connected to covenant name for the nation of Israel, and the other ascribe to Him as MASTER.....
I like the Baltimore Orioles. One unique thing on the national anthem that is common is the Shouting of the letter O. If Jesus is in a covenant relationship with you today and you cal Him Master, you can shout like that. You can praise Jesus Like that…That O should not be reserved for a losing team; We have misplaced our O! We need to put the O back in your soul and speak it to the lover of our soul. When you put the O back in your Soul we can begin to praise God now until your change comes....
Lets explore so we can get our O’s back on track....START WITH HIS NAME.....
David is a King speaking about another King, Jesus. David has placed his O in the excellence, the Majesty of God’s name. God’s name is not just any old name, but a name that is emblematic of His reputation. So the correct understanding of this psalm is equating His Name along with His reputation.
This is how you Get your O back......your praise....
Point#1- Look at the Praise from the Unlikely- v2
Explanation
In verse one, you have the Splendor of God, the Glory of God and the Weakness and Meekness of Infants. What a contrast by the psalmist.

But othe meek shall inherit the land

and delight themselves in pabundant peace.

But othe meek shall inherit the land

and delight themselves in pabundant peace.

Matthew 5:5

“Blessed are the wmeek, for they wshall inherit the earth

meekness

An attitude of humble, submissive and expectant trust in God, and a loving, patient and gentle attitude towards others.

I LOVE the football commercials where these big, strong NFL players are shown to block and knock people off their feet and perform feats of strength. Then in the very same commercial, they are told to sit down and shut up and eat their soup by their mother. These big, strapping strong guys who are the epitome of strength on the field become humble as lambs when their mama shows up. When their mother tells them to eat their soup, it's not that the football player has lost any of his strength, his power, or his speed. None of that has changed. But now, his power is in submission to a higher authority. Tony Evans' Book of Illustrations: Stories, Quotes, and Anecdotes from More than 30 Years of Preaching and Public Speaking.
Argumentation
The Place of the Proof () "Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength [praise]" (). The psalmist especially focuses on the proof that comes from the wee ones. This shows that men who reject God are indeed great fools. "How often will children tell us of a God whom we have forgotten! How doth their simple prattle refute those learned fools who deny the being of God!" (Spurgeon). This text was quoted by Christ when the Pharisees were upset about Christ being honored by the children in the Temple. "When the chief priest and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying [proclaiming praises to Christ] in the temple... they were sore displeased... Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou has perfected praise?" (, ). The place of praise humbled the arrogant unbeliever. It shows that his unbelief is not because of lack of facts but because of lack of will. Application
Look at where the O starts! in the mouth of the infant. If an infant don’t have anything else he they can praise God. The strength of an infant is ordained in their mouth. They bite, they eat things they should not, but when they scream about Jesus they give him glory , we can like these infants learn to humble ourselves and allow God to ordain strength in our mouths , not to cuss or fuss, swear or tear, but to give Jesus praise....Its time to Give praise to our King Jesus and give Him our O....from our soul.....Just like the meekness and weakness of these infants. The proof of His Majesty and Spendor is expressed in the praise from the unlikely.
Though
If infants show us that the strength of our lungs is our praise toward the one who has ordained praise....We can get the O back in our soul by:
Point#2- Look at the the purpose for the ridiculous! v3-8
(KJV) 8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Mankind is ridiculously nothing but dirt.....Again....God uses His method of operation as cited in - The Last should be first and the first should be last.
When compared to the other elements of God’s creation created by the fingers of God....or the power of God, Moon. Stars, the psalmist begins to have a nightmare when comparing the visual evidence of the heavens to possibly himself. He asks himself a question, What is man

weakness

A lack of strength, whether physical or spiritual. Scripture attributes weakness to human sin and foolishness and urges believers to find their true strength in God alone.

God has chosen to use the weakness of man kind to put the O back in your soul this morning.

Man, Value of

A man should carry two stones in his pocket. On one should be inscribed, “I am but dust and ashes.” On the other, “For my sake was the world created.” And he should refer to each stone as he needs it.828

Verse 5 speaks of a transition from man’s created position . Hebreew 2;6-8; Must argue the point that the translators are referring to angels, or heavenly beings not God Himself. Though were made less than the angels, were elevated to a position of rank, authority and power. The Glory of God is displayed above the heavens.
v1 Man glory in the earth. Our purpose, though created lower than the angels, were still created in his image. What does it mean to be created in His image. To be created in His image is not as much physical, but is more dealing with our status.God has given man a purpose to rule. No to be placed in cages, or locked up, or to murder another person, or to commit acts that degenerate or reduce a woman or man’s status?
It does not matter whether you are Black, White, or purple, all of humanity should be treated with respect and dignity. it is because of sin that mankind acts like animals. That what happen when we sin. We act like animals Man purpose is from God not above God.
;33 Daniel lived like an animal because he lived his life in pride and arrogance. He kept his O for Himself. Give your O to God and Give him praise for everything you have. When you fail to do so, its sin, and your living like an animal. ....preach about the things we can give God a O for! The nails, the hair, the fake hair, the toes, the butters, the nike’s, new clothes, ......not just for stuff ,but for a changed life.......took away your cussing tongue.... your deceitful ways......If you got no O, you got no praise, no praise , your stealing the glory of God....god works in those who are humble, lowly, we have to slay the pride and arrogance in our life so we can learn to walk inourpose
